Below you will find some frequently asked questions I receive from many of my first time clients. I have tried to answer all of your questions and concerns, however, if you still can’t find what you’re looking for, please give me a call. I have very oily skin and my makeup always slides off my face after a few short hours! Can you really make my makeup last all day?
The answer here is easy - YES! I am yet to be defeated by oily skin! As someone who has oily skin myself, I have mastered how to work with it, rather than against it! I have often done makeup for women suffering with hot flushes, oily skin and even ultra dehydrated skin; and I have been able to give them ultimate makeup longevity! Honestly, no worries!
How is Lifeofabeautygirl By Sam Cahill - Makeup Artist different from other makeup artists?
I am so proud of the Makeup Artist community within my local area and have made some good friends and contacts along the way. In my opinion, you may actually find you're spoilt for choice amongst some amazing professionals! We all have our unique qualities and I love that. I always give it my best and I am genuinely passionate about what I do. I care about all my clients and love to see you all. Which payment methods does Lifeofabeautygirl By Sam Cahill - Makeup Artist accept?
I accept cash, bank transfer, Fresha payment link and card payments! If you are a new client, I can send over my bank details and you can get me set up as a payee. That is what most regular clients do and it works simply and quick. You are welcomed to pay via any of the options available.
What brands do you use?
My professional makeup kit is so vast! I have a multitude of brands which I love and are working well for my Pro Kit. Currently, my Pro Kit is predominantly Charlotte Tilbury and Hourglass makeup. Overall, my makeup kit is dominated by luxurious brands because you deserve that experience. I only want the best for my clients but best doesn't always mean only premium brands. I am proud to mix it up in order to achieve the desired look for my clients. I am also making a conscious effort to replenish my kit with cruelty free brands.
Where is Lifeofabeautygirl By Sam Cahill - Makeup Artist based?
I am based at my Makeup Bar within KH Hair Ilkeston (28 South Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, DE7 5QE). I am on the first floor. When you come in, kindly let the receptionist know you are here to see me (Sam) and head on upstairs, where you will see our waiting area to your right. My room is visible from the waiting area.
There are two council car parks - one across the road and one behind KH Hair. They charge £1 for up to 3 hours parking. You can find free street parking a 5 minute walk away.
Do you cater for my skintone?
Yes! I pride myself in being accessible to everyone. All are welcome. I take diversity and inclusivity seriously. I am continuously expanding my range, and always trying to get better and continue improving. I keep a wide variety of makeup within my Kit and can custom mix shades too. If in doubt, please just get in touch. So far, I am proud to say that I have been able to cater for every skin tone and skin type I have been presented with. I have every intention of keeping it that way! I appreciate you all!
Is Lifeofabeautygirl By Sam Cahill - Makeup Artist qualified?
Yes. I received my qualification with the Beauty Guild for Professional Standards and Makeup Artistry. I did my practical training and qualification with P. Louise Makeup Academy in Manchester.
Is Lifeofabeautygirl By Sam Cahill - Makeup Artist insured for her services?
Yes. I am fully qualified, professional and fully insured Makeup Artist, insured for the makeup services I provide and have the correct public liability insurance in place. I also insure my car for business use when I travel to venues for Bridal bookings. For clients security, I use a system called Fresha which provides all clients with invoices and receipts for all monetary transactions.
